Shock Absorption

Included in this system are two methods of shock absorption. First is a pair of elastic cords at the motor end of the harness, covered by a fireproof sheath. Note in the pictures below that each cord is tied independently, and that one is approximately 1.5" longer than the other. This creates a progressive absorption system which can absorb some pretty major shock loads without damage. Click on these pictures to view enlarged versions.

 

      

 

The second method of shock absorption has to do with the manner in which the attachment loops are sewn. The picture below gives some idea of the method used.. Note this type of shock absorption can only be accomplished with sewn harnesses.
