The components of this system are packed into the rocket airframe in this order:

• Motor attachment and shock absorption system. The shock system is packed in only enough to leave the upper end of the protective sheath projecting 2" beyond the end of the airframe.
• Sabot with apogee deployment charge attached. The leaves of the sabot must be smoothed so all the interior of the airframe is covered.
• Recovery harness from attachment to sabot  to upper end of the shock absorption system. This should end with the drogue attachment point on or near the top.
• Recovery harness from attachment to sabot  almost to parachute burrito.

At this point, fold the leaves of the sabot over the top of the recovery components packed so far, creating a bundle that is completely covered in fireproof cloth. The upper end of the shock absorption system we left exposed is folded into the leaves as you button it up.

• Parachute burrito with attached deployment charge.
• Recovery harness from main chute to electronics bay attachment point.
