Recovery Harness

The recovery harness is the backbone of the entire system. It carries attachment points for the drogue and main chutes, as well as the sabot which protects the recovery components from ejection gases. For "Nellie", the recovery harness was 27 feet long, and made of 750 lb test military surplus cargo webbing.

This photo shows the important components at the main attachment points. Note that wiring for the deployment charges is permanently attached to the recovery harness, and "euroblock" style connectors are provided to attach the deployment canisters.
